fresh ‘contemporary rustic’ decor throughout, nice atmosphere. as a solo female traveller of mature years, i greatly appreciated the feeling of welcome and hospitality. nothing was too much trouble. this was one of the best places i stayed during my ridgeway walk. it’s pretty much on the ridgeway and mentioned in the official ridgeway guide. highly recommended. thank you! stayed july 2018 annie, yeovil “walking the ridgeway” if you’re looking for accommodation in princes risborough, then the plough is definitely a place to consider. we arrived at 1pm were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room no 4. the room was well appointed with everything you’d expect. the bathroom was very spacious with a fantastic power shower. we were asked what time we’d like breakfast and were not disappointed. plenty of tea/ coffee offered and a lovely full english to set you up for the day. we would definitely stay here again. stayed july 2017, travelled as a couple norfolk “lovely rooms” walking with a group of friends in the surrounding countryside we had bitten off a little more than we thought we had so the plough was a great place to arrive at for lunch. downing a pint without it touching the sides we see that the decor and layout is comfortable clean and inviting. it has a wide range of beers spirits and wines. the menu is also extensive with a reasonably priced bar menu but a more expensive specials board. we sat outside in the sun ( remember that?) and our chillis, goulash and fish and chips arrived promptly were hot and were very tasty. staff were friendly but an obviously new lad was having issues with the till! a great place to visit as one of the neighbours did recently with his powerful chinese friend… see photos in the bar! chequers is within a large stones throw from it! stayed june 2016, travelled with friends michael w, leighto buzzard “welcome haven” fantastic customer service, the staff are so approachable and they are really helpful, really friendly. the food was amazing i couldnt fault it, a lot of choice. the interior was gorgeous too, very ‘oldy worldy’ but also in keeping with the modern times. overall i couldn’t recommend this enough, whether a stop off when walking the ridgeway, or just to visit it was great! will see you again. george x stayed july 2017, travelled with friends united kingdom “10 out of 10” gosh what a delicious sunday roast we had here last sunday. we were taken by some friends who are regulars and though it’s a bit of a distance from where we live, we were of the opinion that it is well worth the journey!! we ordered three lamb and one chicken and all were extremely generous, tasty and veg were cooked perfectly. plenty of room inside or outside and i was intrigued to see signs to the ridgeway right outside so that makes it an interesting option for hungry walkers. we will definitely revisit!! stayed july 2016, travelled as a couple ll, hertfordshire “perfect sunday roast” any questions?
